Dear Customer;
Previously you were notified that PHP 7.4 would be retired in favor of PHP 8.0 on Monday, 3 October 2022, however this is no longer the case. In light of the ongoing discoveries surrounding compatibility between different Drupal versions and PHP 8.0 Acquia has made the decision to not force upgrade any customers from PHP 7.4 to PHP 8.0. Acquia Cloud Platform applications will now have continued access to PHP 7.4 until 2 October 2023. This decision was made to ensure that customers do not face unexpected downtime or outages. This is part of our efforts to ensure that our products and services remain secure, reliable, and scalable.
Updates, Notes, and Action Required: - For customers who have already upgraded
- If your application and all associated modules are stable on PHP 8.0 there is no need to revert to PHP 7.4.
-
If you are facing issues and would like to try resolving without reverting back to PHP 7.4 please review our article Recommendations for customers facing memory leak issues after upgrading to PHP 8.0.
-
If you would like to revert to PHP 7.4 the option will remain available to you in the UI and no further customer action is required.
- For customers who have not started their upgrade at this time
-
No customer action is required in order to continue to use PHP 7.4 and you will be automatically enrolled in PHP 7.4 long term support until the next Acquia PHP end of life deadline on Monday, 2 October 2023.
- For customers who have purchased PHP 7.4 long term support
- Please contact your account management team for further assistance and details regarding your PHP 7.4 LTS package.
If you have any further questions about the PHP requirements and upgrades, you can contact Acquia Support by logging in to accounts.acquia.com and visiting the Acquia Help Center.
Sincerely, Acquia Support Team |
